Foreign Investment Process

The One Stop Service Centre (OSSC) at the Department of Industries (DOI) provides the following services. For some services such as company incorporation, investors need to visit the Office of the Company Registrar.

  • Online application through imis.doind.gov.np
  • FDI approval  (7 days)
  • Incorporation of company by OCR (7 days)
  • Approval for FDI by NRB (15 Minutes)
  • Registration of PAN/VAT by IRO  (3 days)
  • Industry registration  (5 days)
  • Opening of bank account (1 day)
  • Recording of investment at NRB
  • Approval of environmental studies by competent authorities (BES-15 days, IEE-2 months, EIA-6 months)
  • Construction/establishment of industry
